TECH: Samsung ST5000 camera with ultra thin, AMOLED touch screen and wireless capability
Samsung is back again in producing more of their digital and compact camera lines and the new ST5000 has a new feature first in digital camera. The 14.2 mega pixel ST5000 has a 3.5 touch screen TFT LCD with smooth controls and Smart Gesture touch screen user interface, you tilt the camera in any position and the gravity sensor will be activated and the photo you are viewing will flip automatically, you can use also your fingers in browsing the photos by scrolling it and use your fingers in deleting photos, just make a "X" sign and photo selected on screen will be erased, this is the same feature we know that ST550 carries, but looks like the ST5000 has an advance feature with the AMOLED screen. My Avocado Fiesta treat at Cocktales TriNoma with food bloggers
I was in Trinoma yesterday with my family,I'm glad that we have one more event to attend and thats the introduction of the new meals of Cocktales TriNoma, located at the 3rd floor of the mall, near Landmark entrance. I met up with our food bloggers and we tried their pasta and rice meals, plus with cold fruit shake and yummy fruit cocktale dessert. I started with my Avocado Fiesta (to share serving) and I finished it after 30 minutes. I didn't expected that the fruit cocktales is so heavy and then I decided to skip my dinner for that hour. Other bloggers ordered their El Presidente, Pinacolada, Jamavocado and other fruit goodies. You can watch my eating action of the Avocado Fiesta here in video blogging in Cocktales Trinoma

Everything in Saizen TriNoma is Php 85
This is my 2nd bloggers event at Saizen and its my 1st time here at their 3 week old branch in Trinoma located at the ground level and inside True Value store. Everything in Saizen is sold at P85 and it means that all items from paper, to mugs, to pitcher, to belts, sandals,pet accessories, baby toys, gardening tools, stationary and many more are priced at P85. It's a fun store that hosted everything you need, its a one stop shop and very cheap. Also a perfect shop to visit whenever you want to buy a gift for your friends or family.
I will post more of the stuff I bought yesterday and found some cool and weird items that is useful. I also heard that they will have new stocks coming this September 2010 and a clearance sale is on the way next month.

TECH: Email, Chat, Twit and Facebook using Nokia C3
I visited the launch of the new Nokia C3 at Blue Leaf yesterday and I got so harassed by the traffic along the way but the stress that I got was gone after I saw the Nokia C3 mobile phone, It's a nice phone and perfect for social media and twit addicts. Its a cool and handy phone that you can use the new apps like the Twitter, Gtalk, Facebook, MSN and Yahoo! Messenger. That's the new feature and it runs on a nice user interface that is very user friendly. The most lovable feature is the Wifi capability of Nokia C3.
You can chat and check email and be online for 24 hours a day, and open different apps if you want to check your Facebook and post some cool status messages or Twit yourself and update your friends whenever you go out. You can also post photos via Facebook app and its easy to use it. I'm very tempted already to buy one since last week after I blog about the grand P1,000 discount today for the launch of the Nokia C3 in selected Nokia stores in Manila. But I decided to grab one next week and hope to get a discount too. (sold today at Php 6,295, orig price is at P7,295)

Grabbing my 2nd dozen box of Krispy Kreme
We were at SM MOA to eat our dinner and then Lace told me to pick up a dozen box of Krispy Kreme and use my Krispy Kreme Fave Fan Award certificate to get one box for free. I told her that we will visit a nearby store after eating and checking out that cheese cafe in SM MOA. Then I used the super certificate and got a stamp of the store crew and this is my 2nd box of the month and looks like that we might grab another box next week and add it as our weekly supply ahhahaha. I also miss that Chocolate carnival event last year, I remember that we took home 8 dozen boxes of it and those doughnut boxes sat around our dining table for weeks. pero naubos naman sya hhhehehe. Ok din pala may stocks ng Krispy Kreme doughnuts at home, sarap kainin and perfect match with coffee, kaya ayan! its 5am na today and gising na gising pa ko, si Lace kasi pinagtimpla ako ng coffee na Folgers and ayan bulaga pa ang mag mata ko. good luck later sa event na pupuntahan. ko

window view from Hotel Intercontinental
I was looking around the window and saw this nice view of Glorietta 4 and 5 infront of me. Although that I'm at the lowest floor of the hotel, but looking the building in an eye level gives another perspective on the beauty of the structures of Glorietta. I'm now excited to stay next month in Diamond Hotel, I will take pics too and see what will be the view by the hotel window.

After 3 years of teaching comics production classes in Ateneo, and making comics for longer than that, I'm now opening a weekend workshop on comics production so I can share what I've learned to more people (and, of course, learn from them as well, in the process).
KOMIKSABADO is a comprehensive workshop on comics production that aims to cover the full range of tasks involved in comic book production, from writing to illustration to publication. Over the course of the workshop, participants will embark on individual comic book projects:
- creating stories and designing characters
- writing comic book scripts
- illustration and visual storytelling
- lettering and coloring
- prepping files for publication
- marketing and promoting comics
The workshop is a continuing and open-ended program, although each month will be devoted to a particular aspect of production (which means people can join in or opt out at the start of each month). Participants will be limited to a maximum of 5 students at a time, to ensure maximized learning.
Sessions will be held every Saturday at Global Art Katipunan, Unit CU-4 Prince David Condominium, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City.
Morning Sessions: 10am - 12nn
Afternoon Sessions: 130pm - 3pm

BlackBerry RIM Co-CEOs response and statement vs. Apple
I know this info is a little bit late, but I want to post it here as I received this official statement form the RIM Co-CEO in response to the misleading comments by Apple in their July 16 press conference for the iPhone 4. I viewed some videos and read some articles and its funny that Apple pulling down other mobile phone brands with the issues that they are experiencing with the antennagate of the iPhone 4. i've used the BlackBerry before for months and I never encounter any problems with their antenna, and I can hold the phone in any way I want using both hands :)
“Apple's attempt to draw RIM into Apple's self-made debacle is unacceptable. Apple's claims about RIM products appear to be deliberate attempts to distort the public's understanding of an antenna design issue and to deflect attention from Apple's difficult situation. RIM is a global leader in antenna design and has been successfully designing industry-leading wireless data products with efficient and effective radio performance for over 20 years. During that time, RIM has avoided designs like the one Apple used in the iPhone 4 and instead has used innovative designs which reduce the risk for dropped calls, especially in areas of lower coverage. One thing is for certain, RIM’s customers don’t need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphone to maintain proper connectivity. Apple clearly made certain design decisions and it should take responsibility for these decisions rather than trying to draw RIM and others into a situation that relates specifically to Apple."

On top of One Legaspi Tower
Here's a great view in one of the room at One Legaspi Tower, I'm having some Inception movie feeling viewing the high rise building. Photo taken using my Olympus E520 dslr.
