Mi Pow power tube (review)

When I used a smart phone for the very first time, I always complain that the battery drains so fast whenever I use it, in sms, calls, taking photos, videos, surf the net and gaming. Smart phones are very important to me now, because all things that I need for the day are installed in one app. I tried conserving battery energy whenever I go out, I sometimes bring an old phone serve as my back up whenever my smart phone dies, I do that whenever I travel and its important for me to be connected when I’m far away from home. I sometimes bring our old ASUS EEEPC netbook as my power battery for my phones, but then I realized, there are lots of power tube batteries available in the market that works well for mobile devices, I can get one for myself and use it with no hassle.

I went to the mal and saw there are three brands of power battery – Mi Li, Mi Pow and Mi Charge.
I checked on each feature of the brand and I was informed that the Mi Pow 2200 mAh is the best seller, I also saw the Mi Li universal battery, it works on phones, tablets and also for laptops, but it has a price label of P7k, I want it but it looks bulky.

For this non-sponsored post, I’ll feature the Mi Pow, because it’s the one gadget that I acquired recently.

Mi Pow packaging shows the color of the power tubes, I saw that they have 3 colors – blue, red and silver, I was looking for a color black, but there’s no stock and I’m not sure if there is color black, the red power tube looks like a lipstick, the silver one looks like a dynamite, and this blue..hmm looks like a flash light. The packaging also saws that it is designed for iphones and ipod, but there’s a note that it can be used for PSP to blackberries to nokia to htc and samsung.

I have a Nokia, Samsung, and PSP, that’s why I grabbed this power tube.

back packaging shows the different kinds of plugs, all of it are available inside the box

yeah the label says it all

It charges so slow, around 4-6 hours, because it feeds small amount of electricity, due to its size and power level.

unboxing….

the manual box

it includes a manual, warranty card and catalog

inside the manual

how to use it

warranty card labels the service center and official distributor here in Manila

The power tube, looks like a longer version of an ordinary AAA battery

micro USB plug for smart phones

power cable for the power tube and charger

it looks like a dynamite….and not a flash light

connecting all cables, including the micro USB

connecting my phone to the power tube

hallelujah!!!! it eats electricity.

They say that a full charged Mi Pow power tubes can power up your mobile devices into full charge, and there’s a light indicator on top of the power tube that helps you identify if it has power. Blue light color shows that it is full charge, Red light means power is low and charging, Green light means the power tube is fully charge and you need to remove it out of the power socket.

I’ll be trying this Mi Pow power tube for the first time today and I’ll post a review later.
